摘要： PURPOSE: To strengthen a yarn end portion by sucking and holding the yarn end into a suction pipe and applying mechanical twisting to this yarn end in the event of the occurrence of a yarn break in a spinning stage. CONSTITUTION: Two fiber bundles 14 and 15 are supplied to the respective spinning positions of a spinning machine and double yarn 18 is formed by drafting and twisting. When the yarn break occurs in the processing of winding on a bobbin 20 of a loom take-up 4, the upper rollers 6 and 7 of a parallel drawing device 1 are lifted and the bobbin 20 is parted from a take-up roller 19 and the rotation thereof is stopped. The coasting double yarn 18 is sucked into the suction pipe 21 and the yarn 31 between the bobbin 20 and the suction pipe 21 is stretched and held and simultaneously, a wagon 22 for maintenance travelable along the spinning machine is called by the output signal of a yarn monitor device. A swiveling arm 30 including a twisting device 26 and a yarn gripping device 27 is advanced from this wagon 22 to its free end toward the suction pipe 21 and after the yarn 31 is gripped by the yarn gripping device 27, the end portion of the yarn 31 is twisted and strengthened by the twisting device 26.

The expanding of the bearing bushing 9 previously mounted to the centering tube is preferably is done by a reamer tool.
