    • An exhaust gas recirculation apparatus for an internal combustion engine, provided with a vacuum-operated EGR valve having a diaphragm which forms a vacuum control chamber on one side of the diaphragm, which chamber is connected to a vacuum port formed in the engine intake system for transmitting a vacuum signal to the chamber in order to operate the EGR valve for controlling the amount of exhaust gas to be recirculated. The apparatus is further provided with a temperature detecting valve adapted for introducing a limited amount of air through an orifice when the engine is operating under a warm-up condition during which the temperature of the engine is not yet sufficiently increased, so that the amount of the gas recirculated during such an operation is decreased to some extent. The amount of the emission of NO.sub.x component is slightly increased whereas the amounts of the emissions of CO and HC components are decreased. Therefore, the amounts of the emissions of the three major toxic components NO.sub.x, CO and HC are equalized.

    • A beverage container includes a container main body, an inner lid portion that covers the container main body, a spout portion which is formed on the inner lid portion and through which a beverage is discharged, a spout blocking portion 3a that blocks the spout portion, an outer lid portion disposed so as to be able to engage with and disengage from the inner lid portion, a ventilation portion that allows air to flow between the inside and the outside of the container main body, and a vent blocking portion formed on the outer lid portion or the inner lid portion to block the ventilation portion when the outer lid portion is placed to close the inner lid portion. A cancellation operation portion which cancels engagement between the outer lid portion and the inner lid portion is formed, and the beverage container further includes a ventilation adjusting protruding portion.

    • An image processing apparatus quantizes multi-level image data of n colors, where n≧2, by performing an error diffusion processing. The image processing apparatus includes: a dot arrangement determining unit that determines either one of an essential dot count and an essential recording material amount when the multi-level image data of n colors is converted into multi-level image data of m colors, where n>m≧1, by the error diffusion processing; and a color arrangement determining unit that performs the error diffusion processing on each color component of the multi-level image data of n colors, calculates either one of a dot count and a recording material amount for each color component, and determines an arrangement of either one of the dot count and the recording material amount for each color component within a range of a corresponding one of the essential dot count and the essential recording material amount determined by the dot arrangement determining unit.
