摘要： PURPOSE:In obtaining the titled compound useful as a raw material for vinylidene chloride resin by catalytic dehydrogenation of 1,1,2-trichloroethane, to improve selectivity and conversion ratio of raw material, by using a highly active silica gel supported cesium chloride catalyst as a catalyst. CONSTITUTION:A catalyst obtained by supporting cesium chloride on silica gel and heat-treating it at 400-600 deg.C is used as a catalyst, and 1,1,2- trichloroethane vapor is brought into contact with the catalyst at 100-300 deg.C, preferably 125-275 deg.C, to give the aimed compound. The amount of cesium chloride supported is preferably 2-45wt%, and a supporting method wherein silica gel is immersed in a solvent capable of dissolving cesium chloride, etc., is used as the supporting method. When silica gel supported cesium chloride is heat-treated, a gas such as hydrogen, nitrogen, air, etc., may exist.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject compound economically in a high yield by making a contact of a chlorinated hydrocarbon with a specific catalyst capable of performing a catalytic dehydrochlorination reaction continuously at a low temperature in a highly active and highly selective method. SOLUTION: This method for producing a lower unsaturated hydrocarbon is to make a contact of a 2-4C chlorinated hydrocarbon with an activated carbon fiber deposited with a tricyclic compound having a ring constituted by C atom and N-atom (suitably pyridine) (hereinafter called N-ACF) for performing a dehydrochlorination reaction. It is preferable to apply the reaction in the case of using 1,2-dichloroethane as the chlorinated hydrocarbon to obtain vinylchloride as an objective material, etc. The above catalytic dehydrochlorination is preferably performed at 350-400 deg.C, under >=1atm pressure and by continuously supplying the chlorinated hydrocarbon in the state of a gas by heating previously, to the N-ACF. As the N-ACF, e.g. a substance obtained by depositing the above cyclic compound to the activated carbon fiber in a heated state by using Cahn balance device, etc., is cited.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the purity and increase the coefficient of thermal expansion by coking components of a coal tar-derived raw material, said components being soluble in a lower alcohol and insoluble in a specific aliph. hydrocarbon. CONSTITUTION:A coal tar-derived raw material pref. comprising a tar pitch with a softening point of 70 deg.C or lower, if necessary after having been freed from quinoline insolubles, is extracted with a lower alcohol (e.g. methanol). From the extract, components insoluble in a 5-11C aliph. hydrocarbon (e.g. hexane) is obtd. by extraction. The resulting extract comprising said components is converted into a raw coke under a pressure of 1-10kg/cm at 450-550 deg.C, which is then calcined at 1200-1500 deg.C to give a coke for a special carbon material. The resulting coke is ground and the grain size is adjusted. Then, the adjusted coke is mixed with a binder pitch and molded. The molding is baked, impregnated with an impregnating pitch, again baked, and graphitized at 2500 deg.C or higher to give a special carbon material.
