摘要： A method for generating sequences that are nearest to a set of sequences with minimum average cross-correlation is described. Each element of a set of sequences is projected to a nearest constellation point. The set of sequences is converted into a time domain representation. An inverse discrete Fourier Transform (IDFT) is performed on the set of sequences. A cubic metric of each sequence of the set of sequences is evaluated. A sequence is removed from the set if the cubic metric exceeds a threshold. A minimum maximum cross-correlation is obtained for the set of sequences.

摘要： A method for combining a reference signal with a data signal is disclosed. A multiplexed data signal is received. A demultiplexer is applied to the data signal. The data signal is encoded. A linear transformation is applied to the data signal which projects the data signal into a null-space of a plurality of reference signals. The encoded data signal is summed with the reference signal. The summation of the data signal and the reference signal is orthogonally modulated. The combined reference signal and data signal is transmitted to a receiver.

摘要： A communication system includes a data transmitter and a data receiver in which the data transmitter transmits data using a multicarrier modulation, such as an OFDM modulation technique. The data receiver determines a predetermined level of modulation for at least one carrier of the multicarrier modulation corresponding to a received signal-to-noise ratio for the carrier using a vector quantization technique. The predetermined level of modulation for each carrier is based on an index to a codeword in a codebook corresponding to the signal-to-noise ratio for the carrier. The index to the codeword is a nearest neighbor to a vector corresponding to the signal-to-noise ratio for the carrier, and the codeword for each predetermined level of modulation is determined based on an adaptive-bit-loading technique. The data receiver transmits the index to the codeword for each carrier to the data transmitter in order to update the modulation at the data transmitter.
