    • An editing system that allows a user, when browsing the web, to select a web page, which is currently being viewed, to be edited. When a user navigates to a web page that the user can edit, the editing system displays an appropriate indication that the page can be edited. When the user selects to edit the currently displayed web page, the editing system enters an editing mode that allows the user to edit the web page within a browsing context. When in editing mode, the editing system may enable various toolbars and buttons within the window of the browser to facilitate the editing. When the user has completed the editing of the web page, the editing system automatically updates the web page at the web site.

    • A method for recovering a clock from a serial data stream for use in producing “eye” diagram measurements includes determining an initial recovered clock from the serial data stream based upon transition edges. Time interval error values are then determined as a function of the transition edges and corresponding initial recovered clock times. Time interval error values are interpolated for initial recovered clock times not associated with transition edges to produce a complete set of time interval error values. The complete set of time interval error values are lowpass filtered to produce a filtered set of time interval error values. The clock for the serial data stream is reconstructed from the filtered set of time interval error values.

    • An apparatus and method are disclosed for transferring part data, such as sheet metal part data, between computer-based application or CAD environments and for editing such part data. The application environments may include a 2-D CAD program environment and an object oriented bend model program environment. An interface is provided through which a 2-D CAD system may access data from the object oriented bend model system and by which data may be transferred between the systems to permit editing and updating of the part model within and from both applications. The interface may be implemented through a library or set of application program interface (API) functions and a message-based protocol (such as dynamic data exchange (DDE)) to facilitate the exchange of sheet metal part data. Various editing capabilities or tools may also be provided to enable, for example, the attachment of faces of the part or the shifting of one face relative to another face of the part.
