    • A measuring apparatus of a flying behavior of a spherical flying body has: a recording portion that optically records the flying body during flight with a predetermined interval of time, to obtain a first image and a second image of the fling body; image information computing portion that detects a first outline region of the flying body in the first image of the flying body and a second outline region of the flying body from the second image of the flying body, and finds first image information from the first image of the flying body in at least a portion of the first outline region and second image information from the second image of the flying body in the second outline region; and rotation amount computing portion that maps the first image information to a surface of a first virtual spherical body, the second image information to a surface of a second virtual spherical body, and computes a rotation amount that is used for rotation processing when the rotation processing is performed on the first virtual spherical body to obtain a highest correlation between the first image information and the second image information.

    • A hard baseball ball is configured including a core layer, an intermediate layer, and the cover layer. The intermediate layer is formed on a spherical body by winding yarn having radio wave transmissivity, which allows radio waves to pass through, in a spherical shape around the core layer. The cover layer covers the intermediate layer, and is formed from a material with radio wave transmissivity. The hard baseball ball also includes the reflecting portion. The reflecting portion is formed on a spherical surface whose center is the center of the spherical body, and has radio wave reflectability. The reflecting portion is configured using yarn from which the intermediate layer is formed. At least a portion of the yarn from which the intermediate layer is formed is given radio wave reflectability, and the reflecting portion is configured from the portion of the yarn that has been given radio wave reflectability.

    • The golf club head of the present invention comprises outer shell structure portions including a hosel portion, a face portion, a sole portion, a crown portion, and a side portion; and a joining portion where a crown member used in the crown portion is bonded to a member used in another outer shell structure portion. The member to be used as the crown member has an equivalent rigidity not more than 0.8 times as high as that of a sole member used in the sole portion where the equivalent rigidity of a member used in any one of the outer shell structure portions is defined as the product of the thickness of the relevant member and the elastic modulus of the member in a direction in which a golf ball-striking surface of the face portion is oriented. Further, the crown member is composed of a plurality of laminated layers of a fiber reinforced material, of which layers two or more have a reinforcing fiber orientation angle of 45 to 90 degrees with respect to the direction in which the golf ball-striking surface of the face portion is oriented. The golf club of the present invention is provided with the golf club head as above.

    • A moving body measuring apparatus of the invention measures movement information of a moving body as an object to be measured. The apparatus has an optical member having a boundary surface on which light is incident, the optical member being adapted to transmit light entering the boundary surface from one side and to reflect light entering the boundary surface from the other side; an irradiation light source that emits light toward the optical member and irradiates light outgoing from the optical member onto the moving body; a camera that photographs via the optical member an image of light reflected from a reflection marker provided on a surface of the irradiated moving body; and a movement information computation portion that computes movement information for the moving body based on the image of the light reflected by the reflection marker and photographed by the camera, wherein arrangement of the irradiation light source, the camera, and the optical member is adjusted such that an outgoing angle of the irradiation light outgoing from the boundary surface substantially coincides with an incoming angle at which the light reflected by the reflection marker enters the boundary surface.
