    • PURPOSE: To improve the utility of a measuring system by placing a radiation filter in the optical path before a CO photodetector, and reducing the expenses in a plurality of component measurement in gas mixture. CONSTITUTION: Gas sample G is supplied, modulated light of an infrared radiator S is transmitted, and partly absorbed. Then, it enters a first pneumatic radiation photoreceptor E1 having two chambers K1, K2 disposed in series in the radiating direction. The first component of the sample G is contained in the chamber. The concentrations of the several components are simultaneously measured. At this time, second pneumatic radiation photoreceiver E2 having the same structure and filled with second component of the sample G is disposed after the photoreceiver E1. The radiation filter T1 having permeability to the beam in a weak radiation absorbing range of the second component of the sample G is inserted between the photoreceivers E1 and E2, and the radiation incident on the photodetector is prevented from entering the high absorbing area.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize oxidation even if the composition of a gas to be measured fluctuates by subtracting methane content from the total hydrocarbon content of the gas to be measured by supplying an excessive amount of oxygen before a catalyst. SOLUTION: In a method, oxygen or air is supplied to a gas to be measured in a passage where the gas to be measured advances to an oxidation catalyst 1. More specifically, air is supplied to a combustion-air-conditioning system 7 and the combustion air is directly supplied to a flame ion detector(FID) 5 via a filter 4 and, on the one hand, via a nozzle 2. On the other hand, the combustion air is supplied to the oxidation catalyst 1 from a side path via the nozzle 2 that is in parallel with the supply of the gas to be measured. In this case, by supplying an excessive amount of combustion air, namely oxygen, before the catalyst, hydrocarbon in the gas to be measured is oxidized in the oxidation catalyst 1 to become carbon dioxide and water. Remaining methane is measured by the FID 5 via the filter 4 and the methane content is subtracted from the total hydrocarbon content of the gas to be measured, thus measuring hydrocarbon that does not contain methane without blocking the oxidation catalyst 1.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording pen positioning means for recording device capable of transferring measuring signal to recording signal at as high accuracy as possible by providing a recording medium carrying means, a recording device, a recording pen real position deciding means and a control means. SOLUTION: High positioning accuracy is obtained by setting a supplementary range of a pulse width modulating unit 40 as follows. Namely, due to an absolute value of the supplementary range, an absolute value of a small control deviation 300, which is different from zero, generates a large change of a switching ratio of a pulse width modulation control signal 400. This change of the switching ratio corresponds to the measuring signal 110, and generates a high internal amplification factor, and furthermore, generates the possibility of accurate positioning of a recording pen 10. In the other hand, the accurate positioning of the recording pen is realized by setting a limit value of the supplementary range so that the recording pen 10 has the maximum traveling speed with the achievement of the limit value.
