A storage structure comprises a plurality of cover units 18 identical in size, each unit having a series of trussed arch members 19 arranged in spaced parallel relation and covered with a sheathing material 24, the units being adapted to be arranged in longitudinal edge to edge alignment to form an elongated shelter, and supporting means, e.g.. a channel 26, at the lower side edges of each unit 18 whereby the units are adapted to be spaced from and nested one above the other. The members 19 are interconnected by rods 28 and bars 32. the framework so formed being covered by the material 24, e.g. moulded fibre glass or corrugated aluminium or steel sheeting, the ends of each unit 18 having sealing strips 34, e.g. of rubber, secured along their margins. The channel members 26 are fixed, e.g. by welding at X, to each member 19 to extend along the unit 18, plates 29, 30 welded thereto supporting a-wheel 35 at each corner of the unit 18 to engage a rail 12. Strips similar to 34 are secured to each end of the members 26. The end units of a row each have an end wall, provided with doors, which with the strips 34 render a row of units 18 weather-proof. The units 18 may be moved manually along the rails 12 to provide an opening for storing goods, or an industrial lift truck may be employed to lift one edge of a unit 18 and tilt the unit about its opposite lower edge. A pair of rods 28 on each unit may have eyes for connection to a cable which is engageable by a crane to lift the unit 18 for nesting on an adjacent unit when access to the shelter is required.
