摘要： Described herein is a method of forming a smelting byproduct that can be formed into an inorganic fiber, the method comprising: a) introducing silicomanganese slag and a smelting additive into a submerged arc furnace comprising a collection zone; b) smelting the silicomanganese slag into a silicomanganese metal and a smelting byproduct, whereby the silicomanganese metal settles to a lower portion of the collection zone and the smelting byproduct gathers in an upper portion of the collection zone due to density differential between the silicomanganese metal and the smelting byproduct; c) flowing the smelting byproduct from the collection zone from a first outlet; and d) flowing the silicomanganese metal from the collection zone from a second outlet.

摘要： A ceiling system comprises a pair of spaced overhead longitudinal grid support members and a light-weight ceiling panel suspended therefrom. The panel may be an acoustical honeycomb panel in one embodiment. Localized elongated reinforced areas or sections are formed on the top facing which support a plurality of hangers mounted on each section. The reinforced sections coincide in arrangement with the layout of the support members and structurally strengthen the top facing in select areas. In one embodiment, each reinforced section may comprise a stiffening spline attached to the top facing. The ceiling panel is hung from the grid support members via the hangers and reinforced sections. Fasteners may be used to attach the hangers to the reinforced sections which resist pullout when the panel is hung. In certain embodiments, the reinforced sections extend longitudinally through a central portion of the panel to prevent sagging between the panel sides.

摘要： A process for forming laminated floor covering product having a relatively thick wear layer. In one embodiment, the process includes heating a base layer sheet (102) which may comprise a plastic material to a first temperature, preheating a wear layer film (148) to a second temperature, and laminating the wear layer film onto the base layer sheet at a first laminating station (140) to form a flooring laminate. The wear layer may be rigid vinyl film (RVF). The foregoing process may be use for producing luxury vinyl tile (LVT). In some embodiments, the process includes embossing the flooring laminate at a second laminating station (150) after the laminating step. In laminate constructions using a RVF wear layer, the process may include heating the flooring laminate to a third temperature between the first and second laminating stations prior to embossing to improve embossing depth.
