摘要： A hay baler provided with a tubular duct within which charges of crop material are prepared before being stuffed into the baling chamber has a windrow pickup device at its front end to lift crop materials off the ground as the baler advances. The effective operating width of the pickup is wider than the inlet to the duct so that the stream of crop materials lifted off the ground must be converged centrally into alignment with the inlet before entering the same. A pair of lower stub augers on opposite sides of the inlet are assisted by a pair of upper stub augers rotating in opposite directions relative to the lower augers to accomplish such convergence. A windguard overlies the incoming crop flow as well as the consolidation zone between left and right sets of the stub augers so as to maintain effective control over the flow at all times.

摘要： There is described a wheel axle for an agricultural vehicle such as a combine harvester. The wheel axle has at least one wheel suspension (32a) arranged to maintain a wheel axle parallel to the supporting surface, through use of a linkage arrangement (36, 38, 40) which is pivotally coupled to the axle frame (30). The configuration of the wheel suspension allows for the wheel axis to passively follow the surface profile, as any loads transmitted through the wheel carrier act to level out the wheel suspension to align with the underlying surface. As the wheel axle is adjusted to lie parallel with the underlying surface, accordingly the ground-contacting surface area of the associated wheels is maximised.

Left and right vertical mounts are coupled to the frame rails. Upper and lower torque rods couple the axle to the vertical mounts with brackets. The suspension system also has a cross torque rod having a left end coupled to an inward facing bracket on the left vertical mount and a right end coupled to an inward facing bracket on the right vertical mount. Each of the upper, lower and cross torque rods are coupled to its respective torque rod brackets with rotatable joints. The rotatable joint permits angular rotation of the torque rod about its torque rod bracket.

A machine can be equipped with a RDRM configured to detect a rollover condition by comparing orientation sensor data to predetermined parameters. In the event a rollover condition is detected, a report that includes machine identification and location can be transmitted to a central server. A RAM at the central server can be configured to retrieve predetermined contact information and provide an alert message to a predetermined contact person. An alert message can comprise GPS coordinates which can be used in a mapping application to navigate to the fallen machine. In an example embodiment, GPS coordinates can be translated to localized parameters to facilitate finding a machine in a large isolated field location.
