    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an edge guide for a packaging material that reduces the generation of paper powder from an end of a packaging material in a paper container filling apparatus that makes a packaging material into a cylinder shape to fill liquid food.SOLUTION: The edge guide 6 for a packaging material includes an upper block 13 and a lower block 14 each having an approximately parallelepiped shape and connected to each other via a connecting bolt 15, with a slit portion 11 of a space S formed of a bottom surface 13b of the upper block 13 and a top surface 14a of the lower block 14. The space S can be freely set by adjustment of the connecting bolt 15. Guide rollers 16 are rotatably provided on the respective side faces 13c, 14c of the upper block 13 and the lower block 14 on the insertion side of the packaging material 2. A space Q2 between the pair of guide rollers 16 is set to be approximately equal to the thickness Q1 of the packaging material 2. The rollers 12 and the guide rollers 16 are both bearing type.
