    • The present invention relates to state transition, especially relates to method and means for state transition of Ethernet linear protection switching. It is provided a method of state transition for a local end of a protection group of Ethernet linear protection switching in a local network element, and the method comprises receiving a first message configured to change the state of the local end with a first state, the first message being overridden by the first state; receiving a second message configured to change the state of the local end; determining a second state of the local end on the basis of the first message and the second message; and changing the state of the local end into the second state. In this way, there will be no unnecessary state transition and then no traffic loss caused by the unnecessary state transition.

    • A collaboration system includes a remote server system and one or more client devices connected to the remote server system, at least one of which being a first client device that includes a touch screen display. Upon receipt of a user instruction, the collaboration system opens a document at the first client device and displays the document on the touch screen display to a first user. The collaboration system detects a first comment on the document from the first user through interacting with the touch screen display. The collaboration system receives a second comment on the document from the remote server system. The second comment is generated by a second user of a second client device and transmitted to the remote server system through a computer network. The collaboration system displays, concurrently, the first comment and the second comment on the touch screen display.

    • A method for fabricating a semiconductor light-emitting device includes fabricating a multilayer semiconductor structure on a first substrate, wherein the multilayer semiconductor structure comprises a first doped semiconductor layer, an MQW active layer, a second doped semiconductor layer, and a first passivation layer. The method further involves patterning and etching part of the first passivation layer to expose the first doped semiconductor layer. A first electrode is then formed, which is coupled to the first doped semiconductor layer. Next, the multilayer structure is bonded to a second substrate; and the first substrate is removed. A second electrode is formed, which is coupled to the second doped semiconductor layer. Further, a second passivation layer is formed, which substantially covers the sidewalls of multilayer structure and part of the surface of the second doped semiconductor layer which is not covered by the second electrode.

    • Amplitude of an audio input may be dynamically controlled within a predefined range of an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) threshold voltage. In one embodiment, an analog audio signal having a first voltage amplitude may be received by an amplifier. The analog audio signal may be amplified based on a gain control signal and converted to digital audio data by the ADC. The difference of the first voltage amplitude and the threshold voltage of the ADC may be determined and a gain control signal can be adjusted for the amplifier based, at least in part, on the difference in the first voltage amplitude and the threshold voltage of the ADC. The received analog audio signal characterized by a second voltage amplitude can be output.
