    • Methods for producing a stabilised alpha copper phthalocyanine are described. More specifically such methods comprise forming a mixture of (a) a compound of the general formula (II), in which, R 1 and R 2 are independently -CN or -C(O)OH, or R 1 and R 2 together are -C(O)OC(O)-, -C(O)NHC(O)- or -C(NH)NH(NH)C-, and form a fused five-membered ring structure and R 3 , R 4 , R 5 or R 6 which may be the same or different are -H, a halide, an C 1 - C 5 alkyl, or a substituent group containing a heteroatom; and (b) a tethered compound of the general formula (III), wherein, any adjacent two of R 7 , R 8 and R 9 and any adjacent two of R 12 , R 13 and R 14 are independently -CN or -C(O)OH, and any of R 7 , R 8 , R 9 , R 12 , R 13 and R 14 which are not -CN or - C(O)OH, are -H, a halide, a C 1 - C 5 alkyl or a substituent group containing a heteroatom, or any adjacent two of R 7 , R 8 and R 9 and any adjacent two of R 12 , R 13 and R 14 are either -C(O)OC(O)-, -C(O)NHC(O)- or -C(NH)NH(NH)C-, and form a fused five-membered ring structure, the ring structures being the same or different and any R substituents that are not part of the ring structure are -H, a halide, a C 1 - C 5 alkyl or a substituent group containing a heteroatom; and X is a chain having a backbone of up to two substituted or unsubstituted atoms and the chain comprises an alkane, an alkene or an alkenyl group or a group containing at least one heteroatom; and reacting the mixture with a source of copper in the +I or +II oxidation state to form copper phthalocyanine in predominantly the alpha crystalline form.

    • The invention relates to a drill bit assembly for fluid-operated percussion drill tools comprising a percussion bit (1) having a head portion (3) formed with an axially extending stub shank (32). The stub shank is provided with axially extending splines (36), which are slideably engageable with complementary splines (35) formed on a drive chuck (4). Rotational drive from the chuck (4) may be transmitted to the stub shank (32) by means of the splines. Bit retaining means (6, 7, 41, 42) at the chuck are adapted for engagement with complementary retaining means (37, 51) at a spline portion of the stub shank to retain the stub shank in the drill bit assembly. Engagement means on the chuck (4) are adapted for connecting the chuck (4) to a drive means (5) of the fluid- operated percussion drill tool. The invention also relates to a down-the-hole hammer comprising an external cylindrical outer wear sleeve (5), a sliding piston (8) mounted for reciprocating movement within the outer wear sleeve (5) to strike a percussion bit (1) of a drill bit assembly located at the forward end of the outer wear sleeve (5) wherein the drill bit assembly is an assembly as described above.

The use of a disposable spun lace non-woven web to produce absorbent articles such as towels, capes, etc., which have significant moisture absorbing capabilities, while being of significantly reduced weight and volume when compared with conventional woven cotton products or the like. The invention also provides a liquid proof surface, such as a plastic film, on one side of the - web so that the disposable article absorbs liquid on one side only.
