摘要： PURPOSE: To provide a golf ball having on its surface dimples that can provide unique aerodynamic symmetry around the ball surface so that a good ball fly can be obtained uniformly irrespective of the position of the ball on a tee. CONSTITUTION: A ball main body is divided into two hemispheres having dimpled surfaces and having substantially the same dimple pattern in the arrangements of the dimples. An undimpled equatorial line is formed on the ball main body. SOLUTION: The wood type golf club head provided with a metallic body 4 having a front surface 6, the rear surface 8, the front part ball fitting face 10 and the curved rear surface 12 is formed with the projection 16 in a transverse direction extending between the ball fitting face 10 and the rear surface 12 on the rear surface 8 of this body 4. A pair of dents (recesses) 18 are formed on the sides facing each other of this projection 16. The dents 18 on the respective side are extended to the terminal place T just before the face 10 from the rear surface 12 of the head. The reentrant part 22 of the projection 16 is extended along the longitudinal direction of the projection 16. A front part 16a parallel with the ground surface is formed adjacently to the bottom edge of the face 10. The sinking of the club into the ground surface while a golf swing is made so as to hit the golf ball riding on the ground surface is prevented by this front part 16a.

Therefore, plural recessed parts extending downwards from the free outer edge parts are formed so that intermediate layers 14 are provided, which are provided with outer surfaces formed from the respective free outer edge parts so as to form grid-pattern recessions. Outer layers 16 which are adjacent to the outer surfaces of the intermediate layers so as to close-up an air pocket are provided in the respective recessions.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make ink particularly suitable for application by a transition of a pad, and more quickly produce it by making impact resistance of the ink and sticking of a mark and a surface sufficient for making a ball suitable for bending used in play. SOLUTION: A blending material of UV-curing ink to be used for printing of a golf ball 8 is mixed with an oligomer and a pigment after a photopolymerization initiator is dissolved in a diluent, and this mixture is put in a cup dispenser of a pad printer. An udercoat-applied but incomplete golf ball 8 has, for example, a core 10 and a durable cover layer 12 on which a dimple surface is arranged, and a mark 14 is printed on the cover lever 12 by a pad by UV- curing ink. When UV processing is performed under a condition sufficient for starting curing of the ink, after photopolymerization is started, hardening of the ink is completed in less than one second of for several seconds, and impact resistance of the ink and sticking of the mark 14 become sufficient for being used in playing golf.
