The machine also comprises adhesive-applying nozzles (262) and side lasting rolls (224) mounted on a carriage (216) for movement relative to the shoe support. 摘要： The machine uses two pairs of lasting rollers (386, 392), one pair being arranged at each side of the shoe, one or both rollers of each pair being selectively caused to engage the lasting marginal portions of the shoe in any given lasting operation. To this end the two rollers of each pair are supported on a carrier (388) and motor means (394) is provided for effecting movement of the carrier about an axis extending in the plane of the axes of rotation of the rollers. The pressure applied to the shoe bottom by each roller can be set independently of each other roller. Preferably programme-controlled means is provided for controlling the particular mode of operation.
