    • PURPOSE:To enable a player to generate a musical tone with an interval by shaking or striking the musical instrument in the hand by providing an elastic member which freely swings in a cover and further providing a detection part which detects its vibration. CONSTITUTION:A vibration chamber where the elastic member (vibration rod) 4 made of a steel wire vibrates is formed in the cover 2 and the vibration rod 4 vibrates while having a weight 5 atop and is fixed at the end part abutting on a neck 3a. A vibration sensor 6 consisting of a piezoelectric element is provided nearby the end part of the vibration rod 4 on the side of the weight 5 and detects the vibration of the vibration rod 4, whose vibration is transmitted as an electric signal to an external device through an electric conductor 9. Consequently, this signal is used as a musical tone signal to use this musical instrument as a musical instrument which has a pickup.
