摘要： Setting or resetting of digital dates in digital time displays is facilitated by providing an array of display elements which can be selectively activated to display the capital letters M, D and Y, together with simultaneously displayed digital values of months, days and years, respectively. This enables setting or resetting a digital time display to the corresponding correct current month, day and year, without confusion, uncertainty or ambiguity, even if identical, repeated date values are displayed during the setting or resetting process.

摘要： A clock for the attachment of a dog's collar or the like that indicates the passage of time according to the dog's or pet's frame of reference. For example, the rate of passage of time may be such that for each human day of time passage, seven dog or pet days are reflected by the clock's display. Additional data, displays, and information may be carried, manipulated, entered and chosen by the use of user control buttons or the like. A battery may supply power to internal circuitry that drives a display of liquid crystals (LCD). The data carried by the pet chronometer and identification tag may be held in EEPROM such that a power failure does not erase the data. This is particularly useful for any health data or contact information that is incorporated or recorded into the pet chronometer and identification tag.

摘要： An electronic timepiece is provided with a device for automatically adjusting month-end calendar dates capable of reading dates simply, quickly, and reliably. A date detection pattern 71 composed of reflective and non-reflective sections is formed on the rear surface of a date dial 70. When the date dial 70 rotates, a change in the boundary between the reflective part and the non-reflective part is read by a photo sensor 81, the necessary number of dates is determined by a control circuit 20 by use of a perpetual calendar circuit, driving a date dial driving mechanisms 51 and 52.
