    • PURPOSE:To detect a time point when water in a pot is used up with a more economical mechanism by detecting the evaporation of the water in the pot with a weight detecting means after rice cooking is started, and by regulating the electric energy of a heater at the time point when the water in the pot is used up, to be shifted to a steaming process from a rice cooking process. CONSTITUTION:The bottom section of a pot 5 is provided with a weight detecting means 8, and the weight of the pot 5 and contained object of the pot 5 is detected, and detecting signal is fed to a control means 3. In this case, the weight detecting means 8 is provided with a pair of electrodes in the same manner as those of a general measuring device, and according to the weight, an interval between the electrodes is contrived to be changed, and a device for detecting the weight by measuring a static capacity between the electrodes, a device for converting the weight to electric signal by using a distortion gauge, and the like are used. Without measuring the temperature of the pot 5, by the weight detecting means 8 set for measuring rice and water, a time point when the water in the pot 5 is used up can be exactly detected, and a temperature sensor is not required to be fitted on the bottom section of the pot 5, and a device can be economically manufactured with a simple mechanism.

    • PURPOSE:To clean drains contg. harmful materials efficiently, by constituting a titled device of an electrode cell mounted with a cathode consisting of optional metals and a freely attachable and detachable anode of Mg or an Mg alloys and a filter chamber for suspendable precipitates. CONSTITUTION:The drains which are generated in a heat exchanger 5 of a waste heat recovery type, are of 2-4pH and contain harmful materials such as lead ions and copper ions are recovered in an evacuating cylinder 6, whereafter the drains are admitted through a discharge path 7 and an inflow port 16 into an electrode cell 10, where the drains ascend in the clearance between a cathode 12 consisting of optional metals and a freely attachable and detachable anode 13 consisting of Mg. When voltage is applied between both electrodes from a DC power source 14 in this state, Mg ions dissociate into the drains in the cell 10, and the lead ions, copper ions and hydrogen ions in the drains bound with ions of cathode electrodes and deposit on the cathode side, whereby the lead ions and copper ions in the drains are removed.
