    • An automatic draining system is provided to fill the water collected in a water collection tank in a siphon pipe by automatically pumping the water with a floating force. An automatic draining system includes a water collection tank(10), a float(30), a pressing water charging unit(40), and a siphon pipe(20). Water is collected in the water collection tank. The float is ascended or descended with the floating force of the water according to the water level. The float is accommodated in the interior of the water collection tank. The pressing water charging unit includes a hollow body. The pressing water charging unit has a check valve allowing only introduction of the water into a water charging space at its inlet. The pressing water charging unit presses the water by reducing the water charging space by the float floating according to the ascended water level of the water. The siphon is disposed outside a room so as to be located below a level lower than the inlet to naturally discharge the water in the water collection tank to the outside.

    • An improved desalination system includes a transfer conduit (20) between a pool of salt water (14) and a pool of desalinated water (18). The transfer conduit (20) is initially filled with water and is elevated so that a portion of the conduit (20) is above the siphon height of water at atmospheric pressure with the open ends of the conduit (20) submerged below the respective pools (14, 18). Using solar heat to create a temperature differential in the transfer conduit (20), desalinated water vapor is transferred across a partial vacuum volume formed in the transfer conduit (20). Salt water is replenished in the transfer conduit (20) from an elevated storage tank (108), resulting in a constant reduced salt concentration and transfer vacuum at the evaporation surface, reducing the need to repeatedly lower, recharge and raise the system.
