The slave (receive) time-stamp clock rate for some embodiments is set to a fixed value having a relationship with the master (sender) time-stamp clock rate such that the ratio of the slave (receive) clock rate to the master (sender) clock rate is a rational number. Other embodiments use a time-varying frequency for the slave (receive) time-stamp clock rate to randomize the slave (receive) time-stamp clock with respect to the master (sender) time-stamp clock. Additional variations can also be implemented.

A control point requests input capability information of input devices, which are to perform input and receives the input capability information. The control point sets up a session by determining a receiving device for receiving an input signal and a transmitting device for transmitting the input signal, using the received input capability information. The receiving device receives input data from the transmitting device, and if an input type of the receiving device is changed, the receiving device transmits information about the changed input type to the transmitting device and receives a report descriptor including information about a format of input data according to the changed input type from the transmitting device.

摘要： A digital security threat management system is disclosed. The system detects the presence of a computing system, on a network, that has been compromised by an undetected and/or unknown digital security threat. The digital security threat management system recognizes characteristic emanations from a computer system that has been compromised. Because the characteristic emanations that result from a known threat can be the same as the characteristic emanations that result from an undetected and/or unknown threat, the digital security threat management system can learn to detect a computing system that has been compromised by an unknown threat if the security threat management system recognizes characteristic emanations from a previous attack, based on a known threat, of the computing system. In this way, the system can detect the presence of a compromised computing system, even if the cause of the compromise remains undetected and/or unknown. Appropriate remedial action may be taken upon detection.
