摘要： An arrangement is provided for relocating a wall-mounted electrical outlet. A flexible electrical cord is mounted in a resilient, extensible housing between male and female connectors. The cord is gathered into an appropriate configuration to be extensible upon application of an axial tension force. A two-piece restrictor is slidable along and surrounds the cord in its open position or configuration. In its closed configuration, the restrictor pinches or crimps the cord to prevent transmission of remote tension force to a fixed electrical outlet. A slot in the female connector is arranged to engage an elongated member, such as a screw, protruding from the wall to hold the female connector at a predetermined position along a wall remote from a fixed outlet.

摘要： An electrical power infeed module for modular electrical power systems selectively provides power to one or more electrical outlets in the system from a single power source, regardless of the number of power sources are engaged by power infeed modules in the system. The power infeed module includes a power infeed cable, a power output cable, and an electrical circuit disposed between the power infeed cable and the power output cable, the electrical circuit being operable to selectively connect the power output cable to the power infeed cable if the power infeed cable is connected to a first power source and the power output cable is not already electrically energized by a second power source. The circuit includes an electrical switch, a sensor for detecting whether the power output cable is electrically energized, and a controller for operating the switch in response to a signal from the sensor.

A control unit is connected between the power source and the power cable assemblies, and limits the number of power cable assemblies that can be energized in the system by sensing the voltage in a sensing circuit. An applied voltage in the sensing circuit changes in a predictable manner corresponding to the number of power cable assemblies that are electrically connected in the circuit. Each power cable assembly includes an impedance element that is added to the sensing circuit when the corresponding power cable assembly is coupled to the system, and once the detected voltage is beyond a predetermined threshold value, the control unit will ensure that the power cable assemblies are not energized by the power source.
