    • An evaporatively pre-cooled seat assembly (20) comprising a seat cushion (22), an auxiliary cooler (24), and an evaporative cooler (26). The evaporative cooler (26) includes a plurality of parallel tubular dry channels (32) and a plurality of tubular wet channels (34). The dry channels (32) and wet channels (34) are arranged such that they alternate from dry channel to wet channel from channel to channel. Each of the channels is defined by two parallel side walls (36), a top (38), and a bottom (40). A first plurality of dry channels (32) defines a plurality of apertures (44) in the side walls (36) thereof for conveying air out of the respective dry channel and into an adjacent wet channel. A second plurality of dry channels (32) alternates with the first plurality and is disposed between two wet channels and defines a plurality of cooler apertures (46) in the tops (38) thereof for conveying cooled air out of the second plurality of alternating dry channels (32) and to the auxiliary cooler (24).

    • The present invention provides for controlling the temperature of a seat used in conjunction with inboard or outboard motor boats and craft. The invention extracts hot water from the circulating water pump of a motor boat engine and cool water from the high pressure side of the motor boat's intake water pump obtained from the floating medium, provides for controlling the mixture of hot and cool water and circulates the mixture through plastic water pads, returning the used water to the low pressure side of the motor boat's intake water pump. In such an arrangement, the temperature of the mixed water supplied to the water pads can be adjusted from the operating temperature of the motor boat engine to the temperature of floating medium.
