    • A tap sleeve for accepting one of a variety of different tap tools for use to repair thread damage to an item being assembled on an assembly line. The tap sleeve is configured with a handle portion configured to be held by the worker, and a base portion for securing the tap tool and limiting the depth in which the tap tool can be inserted, while avoiding damaging the surface of the item being worked and while preventing the hand of the user from slipping toward the tap tool. Optionally, a removable head can be used to adapt the tap sleeve for use with another tool, such as a wrench, to provide additional torque.

    • A holding wrench includes a clamping assembly and a pair of handles. The clamping assembly includes a housing, a transmission gear, a first latching member, a second latching member, and an adjusting subassembly. The first latching member and the second latching member engage with the transmission gear. The adjusting subassembly includes an adjusting member, a pair of pushing members protruding from the adjusting member, and a pair of resisting members. The adjusting member defines a pair of latching grooves. The pair of pushing members is located between the first latching member and the second latching member. When the adjusting member is moved toward the second latching member, one of the pair of pushing member pushes the second latching member away from the transmission gear, and the pair of resisting members latches into the pair of latching grooves, thereby positioning the adjusting member.

    • PURPOSE:To correctly perform thread cutting, by inserting a cut rod from a window hole into a rod guide hole and cutting a thread through thread cutting hole of a die to easily and correctly align the axial line of the cut rod to the thread cutting hole. CONSTITUTION:A die device is equipped with a die holder 1, die 2, guide spacer 3 and retaining cover 4. A thread cutting hole 11 in a central position and a stopper hole 14 in a required position in an external face are drilled in the die 2. A rod guide hole 16 is drilled in a central part of the spacer 3. A window hole 17 far larger than the hole 16 and 11 is provided opening in the cover 4 while an external thread 18 is formed only to the upper half part in the periphery and a threadless screwing guide part 19 is formed to the bottom half part of the cover 4, further tightening tool fitting holes 20, 20 accepting the point end part of a forked tightening tool are hollowly provided to the upper face of the cover 4. A cut rod 22 is inserted into the hole 16 of the spacer 3 and into the hole 11 under a condition the axial line of the rod is aligned.

CONSTITUTION: A guide tap for cutting internal threads comprises a cylindrical body(101), a wrench coupling unit(102), a plurality of cutting blade units(110), and a chip discharge groove(120). The wrench coupling unit and the cutting blade units are formed on the rear and front sides of the body, respectively. The cutting blade units are arranged at regular intervals in the circumferential direction of the body and projected in the longitudinal direction of the body. The chip discharge groove is extended lengthwise between the cutting blade units. The upper part of a cutting blade unit comprises a tapping guide part(111) having a smooth radius of curvature, a tapered thread part(112) in which different sizes of cutting threads are obliquely arranged, and a flat thread part(113) in which the same size of cutting threads are consecutively arranged.

    • PURPOSE: A tapping jig is provided to guide the movement of a tap toward a work piece without escaping the set central line and to prevent the tap from being broken easily even though skillful work is not performed. CONSTITUTION: A tapping jig includes an inner and an outer cylinder(2,4) combined to a tap chucking member(C), and a return unit. Herein, the outer cylinder(4) has an upper end connected to the lower portion of the tap chucking member and a lower end forming a hanging sill(12). The inner cylinder is overlapped to the outer cylinder to have flexible length. The inner cylinder has a flange(14) corresponding to the hanging sill of the outer cylinder. The return unit includes a tensile spring(16) having both ends fixed to the hanging sill of the outer cylinder and the flange of the inner cylinder respectively. The return unit makes the inner cylinder reset in an expanding form from the outer cylinder. The bore of a hole(8) on a work piece(6) is tapped as a tap(T) is rotated integrally with the tap chucking member. Thereby, a nut is processed on the work piece. After that, the tap chucking member and the tap are rotated reversely. The inner cylinder is returned to the original position by elasticity of the return unit. The return unit resets the inner cylinder to the original position when the inner cylinder is pushed out of the outer cylinder. Air in a space of an air spring is discharged slowly through an orifice. Therefore, the inner cylinder is reset completely.
