摘要： The problem addressed by the present invention is providing a fluid treatment method including extraction that can extract material to be extracted continuously with high efficiency. In a thin film of fluid formed between at least two treatment surfaces (1, 2) disposed facing each other so as to be able to move closer and apart and such that at least one rotates relative to the other, a fluid treatment that extracts at least one type of material to be extracted in at least one type of the extraction solvent that can extract that material to be extracted is carried out. In addition, the fluid containing at least one type of material to be extracted and a fluid for extraction that contains the at least one type of extraction solvent are mixed in the thin-film fluid formed between the at least two treatment surfaces (1, 2) disposed facing each other so as to be able to move closer and apart and such that at least one rotates relative to the other, and a fluid treatment process that extracts the at least one type of material to be extracted into the at least one type of extraction solvent is carried out.

The contactors include a sensing system including a communications fiber within the shaft of the contactors and access ports providing access from the communications fiber to the mixing/separating zone of the contactor. The sensing system can be utilized during operation of the contactor and can provide for detailed and accurate on-line characterization of a protocol, as well as process control and system modification as necessary during operation.

The process can include passing the first liquid through a first inlet and a second liquid through a second inlet of a vessel, passing the first and second liquids through the passageway for facilitating contacting of the first and second liquids to extract the one or more sulfur compounds from the first liquid to the second liquid, and passing the first liquid through the first outlet and the second liquid through the second outlet. Often, the vessel has a plurality of vortex contactors, and a first outlet and a second outlet. The plurality of vortex contactors can include a first vortex contactor, in turn having at least one wall forming a perimeter about an interior region and including a first side and a second side forming a passageway communicating the first liquid from an exterior to the interior region, and a frustum positioned proximate to the passageway and abutting the at least one wall.

摘要： Deep desulfurization of hydrocarbon feeds containing undesired organosulfur compounds to produce a hydrocarbon product having low levels of sulfur, i.e., 15 ppmw or less of sulfur, is achieved by hydrotreating the feed under mild conditions, and separating the hydrotreated effluent into an aromatic-rich fraction which contains a substantial amount of the aromatic refractory and sterically hindered sulfur-containing compounds, and an aromatic-lean fraction. The aromatic-rich fraction is contacted with isomerization catalyst, and the isomerized aromatic-rich fraction is recycled to the mild hydrotreating process.
