    • A connector structure (10) for attaching a hand microphone (13) to a voice recorder 11 includes a recorder-side connector (21), a pre-load applying member (22) and an operation ring (23). The pre-load applying member (22) applies a pre-load by pushing a rear end of a connector housing (17B) of a mikeside connector (17) while the mikeside connector (17) is joined to the recorder-side connector (21). The position of the pre-load applying member (22) is adjustable in the axial direction of the recorder-side connector (21) by means of the operation ring (23), so as to apply a proper pre-load to the mikeside connector (17), thereby stabilizing the joint regardless of variations in axial length of the mikeside connector (17). As using no coil spring, the connector structure (10) does not provide repulsion during the attaching operation.

    • There is provided a disc holding mechanism capable of easily loading and unloading optical discs having different shapes on a disc tray, in which an optical disc is securely fixed and held on the disc tray and the load applied to the disc when it is loaded and unloaded on and from the disc tray can be eliminated. The disc holding mechanism is adapted to position and hold a disc on the surface of a disc tray 90 in place. The disc holding mechanism comprises a plurality of holding pins 57 and 58 that hold a central hole of the disc, in which at least one movable pin 59 of the holding pins controls a holding state of the disc. When loading the disc on the disc tray 90, the movable pin 59 presses the central hole of the disc in a centrifugal direction to secure the disc to be in its holding state. When unloading the disc, the movable pin 59 moves in a centripetal direction of the central hole to release the disc from its holding state.

    • A high-density optical disk and an optical disk drive therefor, which record data on lands and grooves are disclosed. Wobbles are formed in grooves and lands of an optical disk, and address information is embedded in the wobbles. The wobbles are formed so as to become in phase with each other in the grooves. An address of the land sandwiched between the grooves is detected from the wobble of the groove. When the wobble of the land is not an in-phase wobble but is of opposite phase, a gray code of the wobble is substituted with a binary address such that 0 is achieved when the gray code is converted into the binary address. As a result, even in the case of the wobble of opposite phase, the address information about the land is made coincident with address information about an inner-radius-side adjacent groove, thereby determining address information about the land.
