摘要： A vertically alignment mode liquid crystal display device having an improved viewing angle characteristic is disclosed. The disclosed liquid crystal display device uses a liquid crystal having a negative anisotropic dielectric constant, and orientations of the liquid crystal are vertical to substrates when no voltage being applied, almost horizontal when a predetermined voltage is applied, and oblique when an intermediate voltage is applied. At least one of the substrates includes a structure as domain regulating means, and inclined surfaces of the structure operate as a trigger to regulate azimuths of the oblique orientations of the liquid crystal when the intermediate voltage is applied.

A plurality of first bus lines are arranged on the display area of the main surface of the first substrate. A first insulating layer covers the first bus lines on the main surface of the first substrate. The first bus lines correspond to external terminals on the terminal area of the first substrate, respectively. The external terminals are connected electrically with the corresponding first bus lines, respectively, through first contact holes that pass through the first insulating layer to the upper surface of the first bus lines. The external terminals are covered with a protective insulating layer in such a manner that their ends near the border of the first substrate remain uncovered.

摘要： A screw-in-plunger injection apparatus is provided which is advantageously used for molding either a large-size or a small-size product. The injection apparatus is capable of selectively carrying out a plunger-type injection operation and an inline-screw-type injection operation. In the plunger-type injection operation, an injection plunger 12 and a screw 10 are advanced in an injection cylinder 14, so that a melted resin fed to a storage space provided on the side of one axial end of the injection plunger 12 is injected. In the inline-screw-type injection operation, a surface of the axial end of the injection plunger 12 is held in abutment with the injection cylinder 14, so that the storage space is reduced to provide a reduced storage space to and from which the melted resin is fed by the rotation of the screw and is injected by the movement of the screw in an axial direction thereof.

The liquid crystal display panel is constructed so that substrates sandwiching a liquid crystal therebetween each have an alignment film at their inner walls, at least one of the alignment films comprises a layer of a particular polyimide film material capable of inducing a change in surface energy upon the action of light or heat energy, the alignment film comprises an assembly of two adjacent minute domains and has been continuously rubbed in one direction along the minute domains and the two minute domains are different from each other in pretilt angle (defined as an angle at which liquid crystalline molecules rise from the surface of the substrate).

摘要： Disclosed is a movable magnetic head block assembly for a double sided flexible magnetic disk storage device, wherein a pair of mutually opposed disk contacting surfaces, at least one of which comprises an electromagnetic transducer head, are in contact under pressure with the opposite sides of a magnetic disk so that information can be recorded or retrieved from the disk. To enable the unimpeded exchange of disks, an arrangement is provided whereby at least one of the disk contacting surfaces is mounted on an individual flexibly mounted retractable support arm which is normally urged under pressure against a stop, in the direction of the disk to place the disk contacting surfaces in position for normal operation, but which can be retracted against that pressure, thus withdrawing the disk contacting surface away from the surface of the disk, so that the disk may be exchanged without impediment. At least one of these flexibly mounted support arms is included in a position adjustable support arm assembly, comprising an arm which the head is mounted, an anchor member and a flexible means connecting the two, the adjustment of the position of the anchor member enabling the positioning of the disk contacting surface with respect to the rotational center of the disk to be effected, by a suitable known method, with accuracy, simply and reliably, without the requirement of any extraordinary skill.

摘要： An object of the present invention is to provide a liquid crystal display, which can surely perform an instillation process used when liquid crystal is sealed between substrates in a cell process, and a fabrication method thereof. A liquid crystal display comprises a sealing material made of a photo-curing type material which seals liquid crystal sandwiched between substrates, and a shading film having a shading area which overlays a red-colored layer transmitting red light, a green-colored layer transmitting green light and a blue-colored layer transmitting blue light, wherein only the blue-colored layer is formed in an area of the shading film contacting with the sealing material and the photo-curing type material of the sealing material is structured to have a light reactive area for a wavelength of blue color band.

摘要： A vertically alignment mode liquid crystal display device having an improved viewing angle characteristic is disclosed. The disclosed liquid crystal display device uses a liquid crystal having a negative anisotropic dielectric constant, and orientations of the liquid crystal are vertical to substrates when no voltage being applied, almost horizontal when a predetermined voltage is applied, and oblique when an intermediate voltage is applied. At least one of the substrates includes a structure as domain regulating means, and inclined surfaces of the structure operate as a trigger to regulate azimuths of the oblique orientations of the liquid crystal when the intermediate voltage is applied.
