Consequently, the connector enters a temporary lock state at a halfway position of insertion of the retainer 20 into the retainer insertion hole 4 where the locked portion 24 and the temporary lock projection 5 are locked together and a primary lock state at a position of complete insertion of the retainer 20 into the retainer insertion hole 4 where the locked portion 24 and the primary lock projection 6 are locked together, the locked portion 24 being formed as a lock hole 24 opened in the deformation portion 23.
