    • PURPOSE:To reduce to the utmost bending of an electric wire due to the fact that a terminal is biten and raised when the terminal and the electric wire are crimped. CONSTITUTION:A stopper 13 is provided being composed of a climper 3, an opposite anvil 4, a terminal separation piece 14, and an arm piece 15. The arm piece 15 is rotatably axially-supported by the guide frame 11 of a ram 2 and a tension spring 20 is interposed between the arm piece 15 and a fixing piece 19. The ram 2 is slide engaged with the arm piece 15 when the ram 2 is lowered, the arm piece 15 is turned in an upright attitude, and the terminal separation piece 14 is made at a terminal separation position higher than the anvil 4 by a given interval. When the climper 3 is raised higher than the terminal separation position, the engagement, between the ram 2 and the arm piece 15, is released, the stopper 13 is rotated to the climper 3 side by the tension spring 20, and the outer edge part 16 of the stopper 13 is positioned on the inner side than the lower end of the climper 3 in the top dead center of the ram 2.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal crimper capable of easily and accurately positioning an electric wire with respect to a terminal without abutting and damaging the terminal in crimping by using a longitudinally chained terminal. SOLUTION: This device A is so constituted as to crimp an electric wire to a wire connection part of a terminal by means of an anvil, on which the terminal is placed, and of a crimper 11 which elevates with a ram 7 so as to be opposite to the anvil. In this case, a wire guide 17 forming a wire positioning groove 17a at the upper edge can elevatable through the medium of a spring 18, and is provided on the front side of said anvil. In addition, a wire stopper 19 is rotatably provided so that the strip of the electric wire impinges between said anvil and the crimper 11.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably detect feed failure of a longitudinally chained terminal in a terminal crimping machine or the like. SOLUTION: This abnormality detecting mechanism is composed of a roller 24 ascendable-descendable along a projecting part and a recessed part of a chained terminal 5, a proximity dog 17 driven by the roller, an elastic member 22 to energize the proximity dog in the roller direction and a proximity sensor 28 arranged so as to be opposed to the proximity dog. The proximity sensor 28 is fixed to a sliding block 29, and a cover 27 is arranged on a base frame 13 holding the proximity dog 17 so as to be freely ascendable-descendable, and the sliding block 29 can be mounted on an demounted from the cover. The projecting part of a first terminal of the longitudinally chained terminal 5 is detected by the sensor 28, and next, the recessed part of the first terminal is detected by the sensor 28, and next, a projecting part of a second terminal is detected by the sensor 28, and when these are not detected in a single cycle, it is judged that terminal feed is abnormal. The projecting part may be a rear side crimp piece, and the recessed part may be a front side crimp piece.
