    • A fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines, which has a pump interior and a control mechanism chamber separate from it, with a control mechanism for actuating a quantity adjusting device determining the fuel injection quantity, is provided with an electrical temperature sensor, to compensate for the effect of temperature on the metered fuel quantity. The output signal of the temperature sensor is included as a correction variable in the control variable for the control mechanism. To assure accurate temperature measurement without delay, and for easy access to the temperature sensor for servicing, the temperature sensor is disposed in the control mechanism chamber and, with a temperature-sensitive sensor element, preferably an NTC resistor, dips into a permanent fuel flow diverted from the pump interior. The electrical connecting lines of the temperature sensor are extended to a circuit board on which the connecting lines for the electric control mechanism are also located, in the control mechanism chamber and bonded thereto.

    • The aim is to make it easier to compare industrial or clinical processes. To this end provision is made for the processes to be systematically divided into prescribed process steps. The process steps are also divided into prescribed sub-process steps. Each of the processes is then shown in a respective graphic with the process steps in a first dimension and with the sub-process steps in a second dimension, so that each sub-process step has a distinct two-dimensional location in the respective graphic, with each sub-process step being graphically marked if the respective process contains it. The graphical presentation can now be used to compare the processes easily and clearly.

    • A fuel injection pump includes an injection onset adjustment piston in a cylinder bore that adjusts injection. The onset adjustment piston is embodied as a following piston which includes therein a control slide valve. The onset adjustment piston encloses a work chamber on one end, and is acted upon by the pressure in the work chamber counter to the force of a restoring spring. The onset adjustment piston is connected to an essentially stationary part of a cam drive of the fuel injection pump. In order to prevent feedback from the work chamber via the control slide valve and its adjustment, the control slide valve is effectively damped by means of a separate pin on an end of the control slide valve which extends into a blind bore of the onset adjustment piston.

    • An arrangement for the separation of pollutants and, as the case may be, bulky solids, i.e. coarse matter, in separating structures, such as rainwater relief structures for the protection of bodies of water. The rainwater or combined water exceeding a critical combined water outflow is diverted to another part of a sewer system or to a channel leading to a receiving body of water by flowing over a relief weir, and being freed of coarse matter by means of an interceptor prior to its overflow into the channel. The interceptor (20) is fashioned of a plurality of bar elements (21) arranged with preferably equidistant mutual spacing on the overflow side of the relief weir (20), and a separate pollutant channel (22) receives the coarse matter retained by the interceptor (20).
