      SOLUTION: The refrigerator comprises the temperature switching chamber 5 of relatively small capacity having quick cooling function for setting a room temperature in multiple temperature ranges including a freezing temperature, a tray 15 for storing a cooling load installed in the switching chamber, and the infrared sensor 12 for detecting the temperature of the cooling load in the tray. The infrared sensor is installed on the ceiling surface of the switching chamber opposed to the tray.
