    • It is intended to provide a pharmaceutical composition for oral use which comprises SMP-114 or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt as the active ingredient, is designed so as to give an AUC0-24 level of at least about 2.7 μg·hr/mL and aims at reduction of chronic inflammation, reduction of structural damage, reduction of progress of joint deformity or improving physical functions in patients with rheumatoid arthritis, whereby SMP-114 or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt is administered in a dose of from about 20 to 120 mg per day. Because of having excellent effects of ameliorating immunopathy and chronic inflammation, this composition is useful and clinically applicable as a medicament for treating or preventing rheumatoid arthritis with little side effects.

    • To improve convenience of a wheelchair by enabling an outside fitting type of auxiliary power device to be automatically and securely mounted on and removed from the habituated wheelchair, the auxiliary power device, which can be mounted on and removed from the wheelchair and provide power assistance to the wheelchair, comprises photoelectric sensors for detecting positions of predetermined frames of the wheelchair, arms, each having a handle of a shape capable of being engaged with the frames attached to an outer end thereof, and driving motors for displacing the arms. When the frames are determined to be at predetermined positions based on information from the photoelectric sensors, the arms are displaced by the driving motors so as to have the handles engage with the frames.

    • Equipment for intracerebral administration of preparations is composed of a preparation-administering device (1) holding a preparation (2), and a plunger (4) removably arranged in the preparation-administering device adapted to push the preparation held therein toward one end of the preparation-administering device. The intracerebral preparation-administration equipment is inserted into a preparation-introducing guide (5) previously implanted in the head of a patient to introduce the preparation into its guide hole (26).
