摘要： The object of the present invention is to provide an optical recording medium which comprises a substrate, and a first information layer and a second information layer disposed on the substrate, and an intermediate layer disposed between the first information layer and the second information layer, wherein any one of recording and reproducing is performed in the first information layer and the second information layer by irradiating a laser beam from the first information layer side, the second information layer comprises a protective layer, a second dye layer which comprises an organic dye, an oxidized layer, and a reflective layer in this order from the laser beam irradiation side, and the oxidized layer comprises an oxide which is a material constituting the reflective layer.

摘要： It is an object of the present invention to provide a recording and reproducing method for dye-based recordable DVD medium which performs a recording of a shortest mark by one pulse light of a highest intensity, and a recording of the second shortest and following marks by one pulse light with a pulse power less intense than the pulse power of the shortest mark and both head and tail of the pulse are high powered for a predetermined time, wherein the recording is performed on the recording layer containing an organic dye formed on a substrate having a guide groove, wherein the power of irradiated light besides the pulse light which corresponds to the mark formation is 1.2% to 22% based on the pulse power of the shortest mark, and wherein the recording linear velocity is 12 m/s or more during recording of each mark.

摘要： The object of the present invention is to provide a two-layered optical recording medium using dye layers for a recording layer which triggers no jitter noise and the like against not only a red laser beam but also against low-power output laser beam such as a blue laser beam, has high archival properties, and is capable of high-density recording, and a method and an apparatus for the optical recording and reproducing. Thus, the optical recording medium comprises a substrate, and a first information layer, and a second information layer disposed on the substrate through an intermediate layer to perform recording and reproducing on the first information layer and the second information layer respectively by irradiating laser beam from the first information layer side. The first information layer comprises at least a first dye layer and a first reflective layer adjacent to the first dye layer; the second information layer comprises at least a second dye layer, a second reflective layer adjacent to the second dye layer; the first reflective layer is semi-translucent; and a first protective layer and a second protective layer are disposed between the second dye layer and the intermediate layer.
