    • A window molding for automobiles has an elongate leg fitted into a gap between a perimeter of a front window glass and a window frame. The molding holds the perimeter of the front window glass between an inner support and an outer support. A head is disposed at one end of the leg, the head having a lateral portion thereof extending over the outer support. A guide connects the lateral portion of the head and the outer support, the guide defining a distance between the lateral portion of the head and the outer support and being deformed according to a respective position along the perimeter of the front window glass. A guide groove is defined at least in part by the guide and opened toward the front window glass at least at side edges of the front window glass. A veil lip is disposed on the lateral portion of the head and forms an obtuse angle therewith at least at the side edges of the front window glass so that the veil lip extends toward the front window glass and defines another part of the guide groove. The guide is deformed at the upper edge of the front window glass to shorten the distance between the lateral portion of the head and the outer support so that the veil lip has a portion thereof bearing on the front window glass along the upper edge of the front window glass.

    • There is proposed an assembly for damping vibrations in a torque transmitting arrangement between an engine and an input part of a transmission. The assembly comprises a first flywheel connected to the engine, and a second flywheel connectable to the input part of the transmission. The first and second flywheels are rotatable relative to each other. At least one damper includes spring means operative to resiliently oppose rotation of the flywheels relative to each other. The assembly also comprises at least one lock-up mechanism including centrifugal force responsive means operative to prevent rotation of the flywheels relative to each other after the damper has become idle when rotation of the engine is lower than a predetermined speed value.

    • A driving power transmission device having a clutch provided between a first shaft and a second shaft relatively rotatable to each other for transmitting a driving power is provided, wherein a housing to which the first shaft is connected and a piston provided in the housing for actuating the clutch define a cylindrical space in order to receive a plurality of blades rotatable with the second shaft. High viscous fluid is filled within the cylindrical space defined by the housing and the piston. Each of the blades has a convexly curved side surface and a concavely curved side surface located at opposite sides in rotational direction. When the first shaft rotates faster than the second shaft, the convexly curved side surfaces of the blades compulsorily displaces the high viscous fluid within the space in order to generate a pressure actuating the clutch through the piston. In this forward torque transmission, the tranmissive torque becomes relatively large. When the first shaft rotates slower than the second shaft, the concavely curved side surfaces of the blades compulsorily displace the high viscous fluid in order to generate a pressure for actuating the clutch. In this reverse torque transmission, the transmissive torque becomes smaller than that in the forward torque transmission.

    • A continuous composite coating apparatus for coating a continuous strip has a pair of strip supply/take-up devices and at least two of a plasma chemical vapor deposition coating zone, an ion-plating coating zone and a sputtering coating zone which are arranged in series along the path of said strip between the strip supply/take-up devices. The adjacent coating zones are separated from each other by a partition wall having a slit which is sized to allow the strip to pass therethrough and guide rollers are provided adjacent to the upper edge of the strip so as to tense the strip such that the path of the strip is slightly convex downwards thereby to keep the strip away from the upper and lower edges of the slit. The coating zones are arranged to effect coating only on the underside of the strip which is not contacted by the guide rollers, whereby a coating layer having excellent properties without any defect can be formed on the underside of the strip.

An electrolyzed water producing apparatus comprises: an electrolyzer cell subdivided into an electrolyzing anode chamber and an electrolyzing cathode chamber with a partition membrane; a raw water feed conduit for feeding raw water from a water supply source to the electrolyzing chambers of the electrolyzer cell; a water feed valve interposed in the raw water feed conduit; a brine feed conduit connected to the raw water feed conduit; a brine feed pump interposed in the way of the brine feed conduit; a control means for start/stop controlling the operation of the electrolyzer cell in accordance with on/off condition of the water feed valve and for controlling the operation of the brine feed pump in order to regulate the concentration of water to be electrolyzed as fed to the electrolyzer cell; a diluting water feed conduit bifurcated from the raw water feed conduit at a point downstream of the water feed valve; and a communicating conduit connecting one of the electrolyzing chambers to the diluting water feed conduit for diluting electrolyzed water discharging from the one of the electrolyzing chambers with the raw water diverging from the raw water feed conduit and flowing through the diluting water feed conduit when the electrolyzer cell is in operation, wherein a percentage of the raw water diverging from the raw water feed conduit into the diluting water feed conduit is regulated to accordingly regulate a concentration of the diluted electrolyzed water to be taken out.
