摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent deformation and floating of a heater wire, by a method wherein the outside of the heater wire which is located at the front end face of a filter element is made to be supported by a heater supporter provided with a radial direction supporting component and a plurality of annular supporters. CONSTITUTION:When a particulate quantity of exhaust gas to be collected by a filter element 2 reaches a fixed value, the collected particulte is made to ignite and burn by electrifying a heater wire 3, and the filter element 2 is regenerated. The above heater wire 3 is not separated from the filter element 2 even if it is left under a high temperature state as the outside of the heater wire 3 is held by a supporter 5. In addition, the supporter 5 consists of a small annular body 5a of a shaft part, a plurality of radial supporting components 5b extending in a radial direction from this small annular body 5a, a plurality of annular supporting components 5c which are concentric with but not same in their diameter with the small annular body 5a and a large annular body 5d of the outer circumferential part.

CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical filter member 5 is housed in a cylindrical vessel 4, and the filter member 5 is resiliently held by a wire net 41 and a seal member 42. A separating plate 7 is installed on the exhaust gas inflow side of the vessel 4, and the exhaust gas flow path to the filter member 5 is divided into a first flow path 40a and a second flow path 40b. A change-over valve is pivotally supported to be able to be turned at the tip position of the separating plate 7. Nickel-chrome wire heaters 6a, 6b are respectively provided in each flow path area at the end of the upstream side of the filter member 5.

CONSTITUTION:An exhaust throttle valve 20 is provided in an exhaust pipe line, normally not throttled, further a fuel injection quantity increasing means, increasing fuel fed to an engine, is provided. In this way, when a signal is transmitted through a wiring 32 from a microcomputer 30, an actuator 31 moves a lever of a fuel injection pump 5 to the opening direction to increase a fuel injection quantity. The exhaust throttle valve 20 and the fuel injection quantity increasing means are actuated in a periodically interlocking state to each other during operation of the Diesel engine 1, then combustion to ashes of an exhaust fine particle and regeneration of a trapper vessel 10 are performed. Start timing of such regenerative action and action of the means are controlled by the microcomputer 30.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the incineration efficiency of particulates by providing a means to unbalance the speed distribution of the exhaust gas flowing into a filter member and by providing an electric heater on the upstream side of the filter in a particulate collector arranged on an exhaust system. CONSTITUTION:Said particulate collector is constituted with a filter 4 made of porous ceramics such as cordierite enclosed in a metal container 3 with an exhaust gas inlet port 3a and outlet port 3b through a cushion material 21 made of a metal woven fabric, and an electric heater 5 made of a nichrome wire is provided on the upstream side of this filter 4. Here, a guide pipe 24 is fitted to the inlet port 3a of the metal container 3 so that its downstream side 24' is arranged sufficiently near the exhaust gas inlet side 4''' of a honeycomb member 4' holding the electric heater 5. Thereby, the flow of the exhaust gas is locally concentrated and the speed of the exhaust gas flowing into the filter 4 is partially unbalanced, thus the desired objective can be achieved.

摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce generation of noxious components in exhaust gas and to enhance output by providing a reflux valve in an exhaust gas reflux (EGR) passage of an engine, providing a bleed control valve in a fuel passage of a carburetor, and properly controlling each of the valves according to the engine operation condition. CONSTITUTION:Suction and exhaust pipes 15 and 16 of an engine are communicated by an EGR passage 17, in which are arranged reflux control valves 40 and 60 and an adjustor valve 50. An air bleed passage 23 is communicated with a fuel passage 21 communicating the float chamber 24 of a carburetor 20 with a nozzle 21b, and a bleed control valve 30 is arranged in the passage 23. The negative-pressure chambers 34, 43, and 63 of the control valves 30, 40, and 60 are fed with a suction negative-pressure through solenoid valves 70a and 70b. The valves 70a and 70b are controlled by a controller 100 fed with signals from a revolution rate sensor 80, negative-pressure sensor 90a, and pressure sensor 90b, so as to properly correct the opening of each of the valves 70a and 70b.

摘要： PURPOSE:To quicken the response of an exhaust gas recyling device, by applying the degree of opening of an EGR valve and the running condition of an engine as parameters for calculating a set value for the pressure chamber of the EGR valve. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust control valve 10 is provided between a passage 8 and a conduit 6. Because the control valve 10 is regulated by an electric control mechanism 30, the quantity of recycled exhaust gas is accurately controlled depending on various running conditions. Set values for the pressure chamber 24 corresponding to the revolution speed N of the engine and the intake pressure of an intake pipe 4 are previously stored into a microcomputer 37C of a control circuit 37. The degree of opening of the exhaust control valve is varied depending on the stored set values to control the cross-sectional area A of an orifice. Thus, the quantity of recycled exhaust gas is alwways controlled at an optimal ratio. This control based on the stored set values is accurate because the pressure of the pressure chamber 24 indicating the degree of opening of the EGR valve 10 is detected by a pressure sensor 34.

CONSTITUTION:A film of Al2O3, an especially stable film of alpha-Al2O3 is formed evenly over all an electric heating unit made of an alloy of Fe-Cr-A, which is an ignition heater for a soot collector. As for an alloy of Fe-Cr-Al an electric heating wire made of a ferro-chromium alloy of FCHW 1 and 2 and FCHR 1 and 2 (JISC 2520) is desirable and alloy of FCHW 1 and FCHR 1 whose Al content is 4-6% is more desirable. Through the addition of Ti or a rare earth element to an alloy the film of Al2O3 is prevented from peeling off by thermal stress resulting from difference of thermal expansion with a base metal during cooling.
