摘要： A venting container (10) including a lid (40) and a base (20) having an inner cavity and a side wall (24) that terminates in a rim (28), the Hd including a central panel (42) and a peripheral sealing lip (44) that surrounds the panel, the peripheral sealing lip having a generally inverted U-shaped cross section that defines a lid channel into which the container rim fits. The sealing lip includes at least one venting feature in the form of a flexible venting button (52) that is adapted to transition from a first position to a second position upon application of an actuation force, the venting button being further adapted and positioned whereby when the container rim is positioned in the lid channel and the venting button is in the first position, sealed engagement of the lid to the container is effectuated and when the venting button is in the second position a venting air passage is provided from the container cavity to the container surroundings.

摘要： A storage container for storing food items includes a base providing a storage cavity accessible by an opening and a detachable lid for covering the opening and enclosing the storage cavity. The lid may include a one-way valve to facilitate evacuation of the storage cavity after the lid has been attached. To provide a substantially air tight seal between the base and lid, a sealing member is included. The sealing member can be comprised of any suitable resilient material such as a thermoplastic elastomer. The sealing member can be integrally bonded to either the base or the lid by, for example, an overmolding process or a co-extrusion process.
