摘要： Disclosed is a method for fabricating a carbon material, by which carbon fibers or carbon tubes, particularly branched carbon fibers or carbon tubes, are obtained via a so-called self-growing process without using external carbon sources. The carbon material obtained by the method has a large specific surface area and further includes a metal catalyst, and thus may be used in cell materials for a fuel cell or secondary battery, hydrogen storage devices, capacitors, solar cells, display panel or the like.

摘要： The present invention relates to a cathode, which can be used in molten carbonate fuel cells (hereinafter, referred to as an "MCFC"), and a process for preparing the same. In such a cathode, NiO, which is inexpensive and has relatively good electrochemical performance, has been mainly used. However, NiO has a relatively large solubility in electrolytes of an MCFC which causes the cells to be short circuited, thereby shortening the life of the cells. However, according to the present invention, a cathode having a longer life than common cathodes for MCFC can be prepared by adding alkaline earth metal oxides, which are basic substances, to NiO, the main material of the cathodes, or impregnating an Ni plate with a solution of the alkaline earth metal oxides, to reduce the solubility of the NiO while maintaining its performance as the cathode.

The rubber modified aromatic vinyl copolymer resin (A) according to the present invention is a polymer resin wherein grafted rubbery polymers are dispersed in the form of particles in a matrix of vinyl copolymer. The rubber-modified aromatic vinyl copolymer resin (A) includes grafted rubbery polymers in an amount of about 10 to about 100% by weight and the matrix of vinyl copolymer in an amount of about 0 to about 90% by weight. The brominated diphenyl ethane mixture (B) may have about 1 to about 25% by weight of diphenyl ethane having an odd number of bromine substituents.

摘要： A method for operating a polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell at temperatures below the freezing point of water and an apparatus thereof are provided to prevent damage and performance degradation of the membrane-electrode assemblies. Non-humidified gas flows for several seconds before temperature of the polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell falls below the freezing temperature of water when operation of the polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell stops. Simultaneously, anode of the polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell is filled with a solution having a low freezing point to prevent the temperature of a polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell falling below the freezing point of water due to the lower ambient temperature in the winter. When the polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell is restarted, the cell performance is not degraded reflecting that the present invention stably preserves the fuel cell.
