摘要： A switching device includes three stationery contacts fixed to a casing and exposed on a bottom wall of casing, a conductive plate swingable about the central contact as a fulcrum and coming into contact with or detached from one of the other contacts, a drive body disposed on the conductive plate so as to be movable upwards and downwards and turnable about a shaft thereof, and a leaf spring elastically urging the shaft towards the bottom wall. The drive body has a pressing actuator protruding sidewards from the casing. When the pressing actuator is pressed by an operating knob so as to turn the drive body by a predetermined amount, a sliding actuator of the drive body slides on the conductive plate so as to turn the conductive plate. When the drive body is turned by another predetermined amount, the pressing actuator actuates a push-switch disposed near the casing.

In the TE.sub.11N mode, (N+1) sets of excitation members are arranged each of which is composed of first and second conductive plates opposite to each other and projected towards the beam axis, a first intermediate conductive member connected to two of the first through the fourth conductive vanes, and a second intermediate conductive member connected to the remaining conductive vanes.

摘要： An ink-on-demand type ink jet printer includes an ink jet head assembly having a printer head and an ink container integrally joined to the printer head. The printer head includes a pressure chamber and ink supply and ejection flow passages communicating respectively therewith. The ink container includes therein a narrow air-bubble blocking tube opening directly into a lower portion of the interior of the ink container and which connects the ink supply flow passage to the ink container. A vent hole is defined in an upper portion of the ink container. The ink container includes a wall surface with the wall surface not trapping air bubbles, with a surface of the vent hole being coated with a defoaming agent.

摘要： An image reading apparatus is provided with a photoelectric conversion element to be irradiated with the projected light of an original image photographed on a film and is adapted to read out the image. The component lines of the image information in the direction of main scanning are halved by a half mirror and the corresponding halved portions of the image information are simultaneously read out by a first line sensor and a second line sensor. These line sensors are disposed in mutually equivalent positions relative to the half mirror. The direction of motion of the film perpendicular to the direction of main scanning relative to the line sensors is selected between a first direction of motion and a second direction of motion opposite to the first direction of motion. From these line sensors, the image information is produced in the order in which the image information was read out, no matter whichever of the two directions may be selected. These line sensors are disposed on supporting members in such a manner that they may be freely moved in the direction of main scanning and the direction of auxiliary scanning. These line sensors are fastened to the supporting members of their own by means of screw members. When the screw members are rotated, their rotations are not transmitted to the line sensors.

A control unit is provided for controlling a feeding speed of the feeding unit to compensate for a transfer position of the sheet, in accordance with a measured feeding time from the first predetermined position to the second predetermined position based on outputs of the first and second position detectors.
