摘要： Provided is a backlight assembly which includes integral power supply sockets and ground sockets, in which the number of parts is reduced in addition to the manufacturing cost. The backlight assembly includes a lamp including a lamp tube and an electrode that protrudes beyond either end of the lamp tube, a power supply socket including a first plate that has a first guide groove through which the electrode is inserted and a plate spring that is disposed on one side of the first plate and fixes the electrode in the first guide groove by pressurizing the electrode, and a bottom chassis containing the lamp and the power supply socket therein, in which the first plate and the plate spring are formed of a conductive material.

The lamp connecting parts are protruded from an upper surface of the socket housing and include first and second portions facing each other. The inverter connecting part is integrally formed with the lamp connecting parts, and is protruded from a lower surface of the socket housing.

摘要： A display device includes a display panel, a power transmitting member and a heat diffusing member. The display panel includes a base substrate, a power input part, a power signal line and a display element. The base substrate has an upper surface and a lower surface opposite the upper surface. The power input part is formed in an outer peripheral area of the upper surface. The power signal line is electrically connected to the power input part. The display element is electrically connected to the power signal line and generates light based on a power signal transmitted via the power input part. The power transmitting member is electrically connected to the power input part to transmit the power signal to the power input part. The heat diffusing member is disposed on the lower surface, and includes a guide groove into which the power transmitting member is disposed.

摘要： A light guiding unit that is capable of reducing the thickness of a backlight assembly and operating with fewer light sources is presented. The light guiding unit includes a first surface, a second surface and a light incident surface. The first surface includes a light exiting surface and an upper guiding curved surface that is recessed with respect to the light exiting surface. The second surface includes an opposite surface that is substantially parallel to the light exiting surface and a lower guiding curved surface recessed on the opposite surface toward the first surface, the lower guiding curved surface being positioned along the upper guiding curved surface. The light incident surface is formed on an end portion of the lower guiding curved surface.

摘要： A backlight assembly includes a plurality of point light sources, a light guide plate (“LGP”) and a printed circuit board (“PCB”). The LGP has a light incident face in which light is incident, a side surface extending from an edge portion of the light incident face, and a fixing groove which is formed from the side surface toward an inner portion thereof. The PCB includes a point light source disposing portion in which the point light sources are disposed along a first direction, an extending portion extending from the point light disposing portion along a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction, and a protrusion which is fixed at an end portion of the extending portion. The protrusion of the PCB is coupled with the fixing groove of the LGP.
