    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a insulation displacement terminal with which, an electric wire can be suitably crimped. SOLUTION: The insulation displacement terminal 20 is formed by making a pair of side walls 22 rise from both rim parts of a bottom wall 21, extending along whole extension facing each other, and equipped with an almost box-shaped main body part 23 at front end part, and a crimping part 24, with which an electric cable 10 can be crimped, at the back side of the main body part. V-shaped crimper blades 29, thrusting inside at the middle part 22b of both side walls 22, are formed at the crimping part 24. By arranging a squeezing part 36, of which the width becomes smaller in proportion as it comes closer to the crimping part 24 side, between the main body part 23 and the crimping part 24, the middle part 22b of both side walls 22, serving as the crimping part 24, is arranged so as to draw inside so that the outer width of itself becomes smaller than the outer width of the main body part 23 in compliance with the diameter of the electric wire 10 to be crimped. The distance between contact rims 33 of both crimper blades 29, integrally arranged with both side walls 22, is set so that the crimper blade 29 can press a core wire 12 of the electric cable 10 with appropriate pressure.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breake of a lock arm displaced in a direction separating from a connector housing. SOLUTION: On a base end part 12 of a lock arm 11, a slot 16 along its rising direction is protrusively formed, and on an arm part 13, a slot 18 along its extending direction is formed, and the thickness Tk from a slot bottom face 16A of the slot 16 of the base end part 12 to a rear face 12R thereof is set larger than the thickness Ta of the arm part 13. When the lock arm 11 is tilted and displaced in a direction separating from a connector housing 10 by pivoting the base end part 12, the base end part 12 is hard to bend due to rib-like parts 16B on both sides of the slot 16 so that its distortion is small. On the other hand, the arm part 13 is easy to bend due to the slot 18, and tilting force acting on the base end part 12 side is relaxed by the deformation of the arm part 13. Thereby, breake of the lock arm 11 at the base end part 12 is prevented.
