    • A method and apparatus for controlling inter-PLMN handover based on CSG lists of equivalent PLMNs is provided. A method for receiving subscriber information of a terminal at a Mobility Management Entity (MME) includes transmitting an update location request message for the terminal to a Home Subscriber Server (HSS), and receiving an update location acknowledgement message with the subscriber information of the terminal from the HSS, wherein the update location request message comprises a list of equivalent Public Land Mobile Networks (PLMNs) among which the MME supports inter-PLMN handover of the terminal. The method and apparatus for controlling inter-plan handover to a CSG cell according to the present invention is characterized in that a control apparatus of a core network acquires the allowed CSG lists for determining a User Equipments (UEs) capability of access to a CSG cell and determines whether to permit inter-PLMN handover based on the allowed CSG lists.

The method for controlling device triggering in a mobile communication system further comprises the steps of: receiving a device trigger register including wait time information transmitted from an application server, and then setting the received wait time in the packet filter; and buffering during the wait time upon reception of the downlink data packet from the application server, and then determining a downlink data notification transmission upon expiration of the wait time.

The method comprises: a step in which a conversion gateway and a wireless device share a method index table therebetween, wherein the method index table includes information for compressing the SOAP message to be transmitted from a service provider server to the wireless device, or for restoring the compressed SOAP message to the SOAP message; a step in which the conversion gateway converts the SOAP message into the compressed SOAP message using the method index table, and transmits the converted message to the wireless device when the service provider server requests that the SOAP message be transmitted to the wireless device; and a step in which the conversion gateway converts the compressed SOAP message into the SOAP message using the method index table, and transmits the converted message to the service provider server when the wireless device requests that the compressed SOAP message be transmitted to the service provider server. According to the present invention, an SOAP-protocol-based message may be transceived in an environment not supporting Internet protocols (IPs).

    • In accordance with a first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method of signalling in a communications network comprising a user equipment, a first radio access network, a second radio access network and a core network, the core network comprising a first packet switched network control node communicatively coupled to the first radio access network, a circuit switched network control node communicatively coupled to the first radio access network, and a second packet switched network control node communicatively coupled to the second radio access network, wherein the second packet switched network control node is capable of forming an association with the circuit switched network control node, in dependence on the user equipment performing an update to the second radio access network, to enable one or more features which employ said circuit switched network control node, the method comprising: receiving a first update of the user equipment from the first radio access network towards the first packet switched network control node; subsequent to the receipt of said first update, receiving an update of the user equipment from the second radio access network towards the second packet switched network control node; sending a context-related message from the second packet switched network control node to the first packet switched network control node, the context-related message comprising association requirement context data indicating an association requirement between the second packet switched network control node and the circuit switched network control node; and receiving a further update of the user equipment from the first radio access network towards the first packet switched network control node, wherein said context-related message is sent before said further update of the user equipment from the first radio access network is received. This has an advantage that the sending of the context-related association requirement context data is independent of the further update of the user equipment towards the first packet switched network control node. The sending of the association requirement context data may thus be reliably achieved even if the receipt of the further update causes suppression of the sending of context-related messages.
