    • An adjustment tower for telescopic sights includes a first adjustment device and a second adjustment device, which are capable of rotating independently of one another relative to a base. The first adjustment device can be rotated in an adjustment position and has a secured position in which it is secured against rotation. The first adjustment device is also axially movable relative to the base to a limited extent such that in the adjustment position, the adjustment device projects further out of the second adjustment device than in the secured position. The tower further includes a stored-energy device that exerts an axial force on the first adjustment device from the secured position in the direction of the adjustment position.

    • A method and apparatus for producing histological sections by means of a microtome are suggested. A histological section of predefined thickness is produced with a microtome from a block comprising a tissue sample. A carrier material is applied with an application apparatus onto the block prior to before production of the histological section. To ensure that the histological sections do not roll up, and to enable improved downline processing of the histological sections as compared with a carrier material embodied in the form of an endless strip and that the carrier material is cut out prior to application to a size and/or a shape that corresponds substantially to the cross-sectional area of the block; and that the cut-out carrier material is then applied onto the block. The suggested apparatus is designed to apply the carrier material onto a histological section to be prepared by a microtome.

    • A cassette changing device for a microtome has a housing having a loading opening, a transfer opening and an unloading opening. The openings are arranged with respect to each other linearly in the housing. A slide is disposed in the housing linearly movably between a first position and a second position and has a first receiving compartment and a second receiving compartment. The first and second compartments are aligned with respect to each other so that, in the first position of the slide, the first compartment and the second compartment are respectively aligned with a first two of the openings and, in the second position of the slide, the first compartment and the second compartment are respectively aligned with a second two of the openings.

The first locking element is an at least segment-wise externally toothed collar and the second locking element is an at least segment-wise internally toothed locking ring. A resiliently supported detent at the coupling may engage by detent recesses an associated detent ring at the adjustment cap system.
