    • The present invention relates in general to systems and methods for using motion-based information to segment an image. In particular, the present invention relates to using a joint histogram to isolate a motion-based information of a moving person or object from an “ambient image” of the area surrounding and including the person or object in motion. An exemplary method or system for segmenting an image may include the steps of: generating a joint histogram of a first image and a second image; using the joint histogram to identify motionless information representative of a lack of motion between the first image and the second image; and removing the motionless information from the second image.

    • The disclosure describes a system and method for classifying information relating to target attributes that are captured by a sensor (collectively “classification system”). A wide variety of sensors, classification categories (including potentially classes and groups of classes), targets, and purposes can influence the processing performed by the classification system. The classification system is not forced to arbitrarily identify a single class as the appropriate classification if two or more classes cannot be adequately distinguished from one another given the particular target attributes and processing results. The classification system can generate a classification relating to a group of classes, with the group including one, two, or even more than two classes, if such a conclusion is appropriate. Historical attributes, environmental factors, relevant events and the plausibility of transitions from one class to another, can be incorporated into the classification process.

    • A pet enclosure includes a cover and a support frame. The cover includes a bottom panel, a top panel opposite the bottom panel, and a plurality of side panels extending between the bottom panel and the top panel to define an interior space of the cover. An aperture is defined in at least one of the top panel and one of the plurality of side panels for accessing the interior space. The support frame is pivotable between a collapsed configuration and an upright configuration and is insertable into the interior space of the cover through the aperture in the collapsed configuration of the support frame. The support frame is also pivotable from the collapsed configuration to the upright configuration while disposed within the interior space of the cover.
