    • The invention relates to a pencil-type glow plug (1) for arranging in an internal combustion engine chamber. Said pencil-type glow plug (1) comprises a housing (3), a bar-shaped heating element (2) and a pressure sensor (21). The bar-shaped heating element (2) extends from the housing (3) on an end-sided opening (4) of the housing (3). Also, the pressure sensor (21) is arranged in an internal chamber (16) of the housing (3). Pressure prevailing in the chamber impinges upon the heating element which is transferred to the pressure sensor (21), in order to enable said pressure sensor to determine the pressure prevailing in the chamber. Said determination can be impaired by deposits, in particular coke residues, on the end-sided opening (4), which is undesired. In order to prevent said impairments, a sealing chamber (17), which is adjacent to the end-sided opening (4), is arranged in the housing (3), and is filled with a sealing agent (35).
