摘要： A base station can employ a shared resource, such as a control channel, for communication with a mobile device. The mobile device can be granted the exclusive access to the shared resource for a limited time. The exclusive access can be such that there is not a limit in message size that can be transferred across the shared resource. To improve operation, the exclusive grant can be applied until it is determined that appropriate packets are transferred.

摘要： The present patent application discloses a method and apparatus for using external and internal memory for cancelling traffic interference comprising storing data in an external memory; and processing the data samples on an internal memory, wherein the external memory is low bandwidth memory; and the internal memory is high bandwidth on board cache. 摘要： Systems and methodologies are described that facilitate equalizing inter-sector interference and performing interference cancellation on a forward link by utilizing a combination of pilot interference cancellation followed by selective interference cancellation. Selective interference cancellation can be performed using, for instance, a reduced-rank minimum mean-squared error multi-user detection receiver. A system matrix can be reduced by the combined cancellation protocols, and can be further reduced by performing a fast Hadamard transform there on, which in turn can minimize matrix complexity, as well as computational overhead associated with processing the system matrix.

摘要： Systems and methodologies are described that facilitate performing fast cell selection in a user device wherein the user device can select a serving sector from a list of sectors in its virtual active set (VAS), while in communication with a wireless network. The serving sector can be different from a nominal sector whose scrambling code the user device employs for transmission on the uplink, which scrambling code can be known to all sectors listed in the VAS for the user device. In this manner, all sectors in whose coverage area the user device is located can be included in the user device's VAS and can receive and demodulate transmissions there from.

摘要： A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus begins to transmit a data packet and control information. Upon receiving an Ack of early decoding of the data packet prior to transmission of the entire data packet, the apparatus ceases transmission of the data packet, yet continues to transmit at least a portion of the control information. Transmission of the portion of the control information that is only needed to decode the data packet is ceased. Transmission of the residual portion of the control information ceases once its use ends. A receiving apparatus begins to receive the data packet and control information. After early decoding the packet, the apparatus transmits an Ack of early decoding and powers down a decoding module. Upon receiving a second Ack, the apparatus ceases to monitor the control information.

In particular, a single inner loop power control may be utilized to control a power of both a primary stream (610) and a secondary stream (612), in a system where the power of the secondary stream (612) is linked to the power of the primary stream (610). That is, a single transmit power control command calculated according to the primary stream (610) and directly controlling the power of the primary stream (610) can effectively control the power of both uplink streams. Further, the disclosure provides outer loop power control, where a signal-to-interference ratio target used in the inner loop power control can be adjusted. Here, the SIR target may be adjusted in accordance with at least one of a block error rate performance or a HARQ failure performance of one of the primary stream (610) or the secondary stream (612).
