摘要： Provided herein are methods of treating a cardiomyopathy in a subject by administering directly to, or expressing locally in, a weakened, ischemic, and/or peri-infarct region of myocardial tissue of the subject an amount of SDF-1 effective to cause functional improvement in at least one of the following parameters: left ventricular volume, left ventricular area, left ventricular dimension, cardiac function, 6-minute walk test, or New York Heart Association (NYHA) functional classification. Also provided are methods of treating critical limb ischemia in a subject by administering a DNA plasmid encoding human SDF-1 by direct injection into the affected limb.

摘要： An ion implantation apparatus including a first plasma chamber, a second plasma chamber and an extraction electrode disposed therebetween. The first and second plasma chambers configured to house respective plasmas in response to the introduction of a different feed gases therein. The extraction electrode is electrically isolated from the plasma chamber. An extraction voltage is applied to the first plasma chamber above a bias potential used to generate the plasma therein. The extraction voltage drives the plasma potential to accelerate the ions in the first plasma to a desired implant energy. The accelerated ions pass through an aperture in the extraction electrode and are directed toward a substrate housed within the second plasma chamber for implantation.

摘要： A portion or component of a metal container is provided with markings or indicia using laser light. High-speed laser steering is used to position laser light or laser light pulses across a lateral and longitudinal extent in a relatively short time period such as a time period selected so as to avoid slowing, stopping or otherwise interfering with other container or container component production processes. Preferably, tab stock for container-opening tabs can be provided with 6 to 9 or more visible characters within a time window of 50 to 100 milliseconds or less. Preferably, the size and resolution provided by the pulses are sufficient to permit legible, and preferably attractive, formation of any standard typewriter characters. In one embodiment, other logos, designs, textures, backgrounds and similar features can be provided. In addition to tab stock, container ends can be laser marked during a standard process when a container-opening tab is joined to a container end and/or during an off-line process after the container-opening tab is joined to the container end.

摘要： A clamp assembly for mounting a tonneau cover on a motor vehicle having a cargo area defined by first and second side walls, an end wall and a tailgate, the side walls having an inner panel and an outer panel includes a fastener, a first coupler plate and a bracket. The first coupler plate has a first end and a second end. The first coupler plate is articulable from an operable position to a disengaged position. The bracket has a generally horizontal rail and a vertical rail. The bracket is adapted for contacting the outer panel of the first side wall and further has a seat pivotally retaining the first end of the first coupler plate. The second end of the first coupler plate is adapted for engaging the inner panel of the first side wall defining a first restraining area between the horizontal rail and the second end of the first coupler plate. A second restraining area between the vertical rail and the second end of the first coupler plate is also defined. The fastener detachably interconnects the first coupler plate and the bracket when the first coupler plate is in the operable position.
