摘要： An adapter assembly (120) for connecting a catheter assembly (50,52) to a tunneler (110) having a generally tubular body (122) having a first end (124), a second end (126) and a longitudinal axis (128) extending therethrough between the first end and the second end. The first end (124) of the adapter is constructed to engage the proximal end (114) of a trocar (110). The second end (126) of the adapter is constructed to releasably engage at least one catheter lumen (50,52). A slider (140) is disposed about the adapter (120) and is longitudinally slidable along the adapter. When the slider (140) is slid towards the second end (126) of the adapter, the slider engages a plurality of legs (134a-134d) on the adapter and biases the plurality of legs toward each other and the longitudinal axis of the adapter. A method of subcutaneously tunneling a catheter using the adapter assembly is also described that comprises inserting a catheter into a patient, connecting the proximal end of a trocar to the adapter assembly, releasably restraining at least one lumen of the catheter in the adapter, and tunneling the assembly.

In an embodiment, at least a portion of the outer surface of the binding element is resistant to a more permanent attachment to the adhesive such that the plurality may be stacked together, and successively decoupled or removed for insertion into a stack. The binding elements may include score lines or bends in the fingers to provide a rounded closed loop structure; optional gussets in the bends inhibit straightening of the fingers. The fingers optionally include variations in cross-section along the length to relieve certain stresses to inhibit the looped finger. The binding elements optionally include structure for facilitating interaction with an automating binding process.

摘要： A detector for detecting vapors emitted from analytes includes a housing, a pump and a sensing assembly. The housing has an inlet, an outlet and an enclosed sensing volume therebetween. The pump communicates with the housing for moving a carrier sequentially through the enclosed sensing volume at a predetermined flow rate. The sensing assembly senses the vapors of the analyte delivered by the carrier as the carrier passes through the housing. In one embodiment the method comprises calling an application program interface to raise an event in response to a triggering action generated by the database application; initiating a workflow process that executes a rule to determine if an electronic signature is required to approve the transaction; and if execution of the rule results in a determination that an electronic signature is required for the transaction, instantiating a signature collection process. Some embodiments further comprise obtaining an electronic signature in response to the signature collection process and thereafter, verifying the electronic signature and updating a filed of the electronic record to indicate a valid signature was collected if the electronic signature is verified.

摘要： A securing device is disclosed having a flange mountable on a suction-providing source, and having pipe members that detachably receive a corrugated pipe such as a drain tile. A major or outer pipe is concentrically and integrally joined to, and extends perpendicularly from the flange. The outer pipe includes a rod receiving slot extending circumferentially and radially through a predetermined portion of the outer pipe. A minor or inner pipe is concentrically and integrally joined to, and extends perpendicularly from the flange such that the inner pipe is concentrically disposed inside the outer pipe. A latch is mounted on the outer pipe and is and is movable between a latched position and a fully unlatched position. A securing rod is pivotally connected to the outer pipe and is operatively associated with the latch subassembly so as to be movable from a secured position to a released position. When the latch subassembly is in the fully unlatched position, the rod is in the released position, and when the latch subassembly is in the latched position, the rod is in the secured position to detachably secure the position of a drain tile upon the inner pipe.
