    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating metal fitting capable of stably forming a good and uniform coating surface without frequently generating streaks or thickness irregularity on a coating surface, and a coating method using the same.
      SOLUTION: A coating solution 2 is continuously supplied from the gap between mutually opposed upstream and downstream edges 3 and 4 to coat the surface of a support 1 during movement. The shape of the leading end 4a of the downstream edge of the coating metal fitting used in coating is R=50 μm or less, and the uniformity X (percentage of mean value of standard deviation of R to average value of R) in the widthwise direction of the support is ±30% or less.
