    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalyst ignition system capable of igniting dilute mixture air by an outstanding small optical energy amount.
      SOLUTION: The photocatalyst ignition system is provided with the photocatalyst 10 and a laser apparatus 20. The photocatalyst 10 has a substrate 11 and is stored in an ignition chamber 30. In the ignition chamber 30, mixed air F of fuel and air and scavenging air E are possible. Laser light from the laser apparatus 20 can enter from an incidence window 31. The laser apparatus 20 is stored in a chamber 40 to keep the laser light reflected by a reflection mirror 21, and optical intensity is adjusted by an attenator 22. After the laser light is collected by a light collection lens 23, it is introduced into the ignition chamber 30 through the incidence window 31 to irradiate the photocatalyst 10. When the photocatalyst 10 is irradiated with the laser light, the photocatalyst 10 is activated, and the mixed air is locally heated to ignite it.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen producing method for treating a polymer material by a method remarkably low in environmental load, the polymer material used for the same and a hydrogen producing system.
