    • A module construction employed in a car roof has a front unit including a plurality of functional components, a circuit board for electrical connection, and a first connector connected to the circuit board, a second connector associated with the first connector and resiliently supported on a roof body, and a bracket secured to the roof body. The bracket has both a hook engaged with an insertion hole provided in the front unit and a spring plate for resiliently supporting the first connector. The plurality of functional components may include an interior roof lamp, a lamp switch, an antenna, and a rear view mirror. The antenna may be arranged to overhang in an upper portion of a front glass of the car. The hook and the spring plate each are formed by bending to raise a part of the bracket. The second connector has a locking clamp engaged with the insertion hole of the roof body, the locking clamp being radially movable in the insertion hole. The hook has a locking portion and an inclined portion adjacent to the locking portion that engages with an outlet edge of the insertion hole of the front unit. In addition, the inclined portion serves as a reflector for an interior roof lamp.

    • On a vehicle roof, there are mounted an air-conditioning unit and a molded ceiling panel having an aperture opened to a duct of the air-conditioning unit, a bezel fitted into the aperture and mounted with one or more of a switch, a lamp, and an instrument. An electrical equipment module has a connector for electrically connecting the switch, the lamp, or the instruments. A roof wiring harness has a preliminarily oriented connector secured thereto. The roof air-conditioning unit has a connector receiving portion provided in the side of the duct. The connector receiving portion can receive the preliminarily oriented connector of the roof wiring harness. The electrical equipment module can be attached to the roof air-conditioning unit through the aperture of the molded ceiling panel so that the connector of the electrical equipment module connects with the preliminarily oriented connector. Thus, the roof wiring harness can be disposed and secured by engaging the preliminarily oriented connector with the connector receiving portion of the roof air-conditioning unit. Further, the electrical equipment module connector and the preliminarily oriented connector can connect to each other by attaching the electrical equipment module to the roof air-conditioning unit. This enables simultaneously mounting of the electrical equipment module and electrical connection thereof.

A pair of connectors, which simultaneously act as a fixture and engage with each other are provided on the assemblage board of the roof module, thereby the coupling of the assemblage board with the overhead mount as well as the connection of the circuits are simultaneously performed.
