    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding bearing capable of providing excellent lubricating effect, hardly abraded by restraining metallic contact even if high bearing pressure is received, and capable of exhibiting the smooth bearing action over a long period, by sufficiently supplying lubricating oil stored in a plurality of grooves extending in the direction crossing with the peripheral direction, to the whole area of a sliding surface adjacent to its groove in response to the rotation of a shaft.
      SOLUTION: An inclined groove 12 is formed on an inner peripheral surface 10 of a beating 1 under a condition of the following (A)-(D): (A) a range of 10-60 degrees in the direction orthogonal to the peripheral direction, (B) a groove width B in the peripheral direction is set to 0.5-5 mm, (C) a width A in the peripheral direction of the sliding surface 14 being a surface of a crest part between the adjacent grooves is set to 1-7 mm, and (D) the ratio A/B of the width A to the groove width B of the sliding surface is set to 0.5-5.0, and an inner peripheral groove 15 and an outer peripheral groove 16 communicating with the inclined groove 12, are also formed in the bearing 1 in a pair state, and a through-hole 17 is formed for penetrating through the inner peripheral groove 15 and the outer peripheral groove 16.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote the reduction in weight and cost and improve the strength by connecting and integrating an iron and steel-made disc circumferential protruding part making contact with a cam to an aluminum alloy-made cylindrical part sliding along the valve lifter hole of a cylinder head in a valve lifter. SOLUTION: In a valve system 1 for reciprocating engine, a valve 2 is lowered along a valve guide 7 to open it at the same time when a cam 3 is rotated to press a valve lifter 4, thereby lowering the valve lifter 4 along the valve lifter hole 6a of a cylinder head 6. The valve lifter 4 comprises an iron and steel-made disc part 4P forming a crown surface making contact with the cam 3 and an aluminum alloy-made cylindrical part 4C, which are integrally connected with each other by frictionally pressing the respective connecting surfaces to each other and dispersing the solid phases. By utilizing the frictional pressure connection, generation of a brittle intermetallic compound in the connecting interface can be resolved to improve the mechanical strength.
